President Paul MacLellan to Participate in Webinar on Direct Contracting Entities (DCEs), a New Value-Based Care Program Representing an Exciting Opportunity for Healthcare Organizations
NOVI, MI, November 4, 2021 — Paul MacLellan, President of Medical Advantage – a leading provider of consulting to improve medical practices’ clinical and financial performance – announced today his participation in Risk Strategies’ upcoming Value Based Care: Keys to Success webinar. During the session, MacLellan will deliver remarks on Direct Contracting Entities (DCEs,) a new CMS value-based care model poised to offer healthcare organizations another means of opting in to the improved reimbursements and outcomes brought on by the shift to value-based care.
In addition to Mr. MacLellan’s comments, the session will also feature remarks from Chuck Newton, Risk Strategies’ Senior Vice President, and Aneesh Chopra, president of healthcare data firm CareJourney and former United States Chief Technology Officer under President Barack Obama. Newton will speak about the way DCEs function and operational specifics; Chopra will discuss the need for data and analytics for the success of DCEs and in healthcare at large.
“I look forward to the opportunity to be part of this in-depth discussion around DCEs, as this new value-based care model is poised to change the healthcare landscape,” MacLellan said. “Understanding what will be required for DCEs to be successful – and how leveraging DCE physician data to improve group overall group performance – will be key to a successful rollout.”
“Our participation is a testament to the role data consultants like those at Medical Advantage will play in the implementation of this new DCE model, and how important data will be in accelerating overall group performance for DCEs,” MacLellan continued.
The session, which will broadcast on Wednesday, November 17th, 12 p.m. EST, will feature insights about value-based care at large – including details on how providers can be successful under these new models.
