Tom Wolff, Vice President of Client Services, to present on the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act of 2015 (MACRA)
ANN ARBOR, Michigan, July 12, 2016 – Medical Advantage is a participant at the Michigan Academy of Family Physicians’ Navigating Change conference which takes place at the Double Tree Hotel, Bay City, MI, July 11-14. As part of the conference, Medical Advantage Vice President of Client Services, Tom Wolff, shall present Introduction to MACRA. Medical Advantage will also sponsor a booth in the exhibit area.
The primary goal of MACRA is to assist Medicare in shifting from fee-for-service to fee-for-value by installing an alternative payment model that is a merit-based incentive system. It aims to offer financial incentives for proving higher value care.
“MACRA is something that is going to hit physicians, and we’re helping them prepare for it,” said Tom Wolff, Vice President, Medical Advantage. “The shift from fee-for-service to fee-for-value is a huge transition from the old model, and MACRA is really going to push physicians to make the change. Providing better quality care should collectively, be our goal; and now more than ever, physicians will be incentivized to do so.”
