ANN ARBOR, Michigan, August 10, 2016 – Medical Advantage will partner with the Altarum Institute as part of the Great Lakes Practice Transformation Network (GLPTN), a groundbreaking collaboration of 33 healthcare partners in the Midwest to deliver quality improvement services to more than 2,000 healthcare providers in Michigan, Indiana, and Ohio.
Funded by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the GLPTN is part of a nationwide effort to help physicians and other healthcare providers advance practices, increase care coordination, lower healthcare costs, and improve the health of patients. The GLPTN is the third largest partnership in the United States designed to transform our healthcare system.
As key partner in the GLPTN, Medical Advantage will deliver personalized services to practices and physician groups over the next four years. Currently, the company serves about 5,000 physicians in Michigan and Ohio and delivers a variety of practice transformation services to support physician success in value-based contracts and quality programs. Medical Advantage is one of the key partners in the development of the largest Patient-Centered Medical Home network in the U.S.
Medical Advantage’s practice transformation coaches will work with GLPTN participating practices to assess quality improvement priorities and needs. “Participating practices will get the personalized technical assistance and specific recommendations they need to be successful in the new CMS Quality Payment Program under the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act of 2015 (MACRA), and other payer quality programs,” says Kevin Burke, Vice President of Strategy and National Expansion at Medical Advantage.
